  • Tofu (400g/14.110Z) 
    • we recommand to use soft tofu or silken tofu. You can find it in Wholefood or Asian market
  • Garlic(30g/1.06 0Z(Optional) 
    • we recommend pre-peeled garlic from supermarket like Costco for convenience

6 steps to make authentic mapo tofu

1. Cut 400g of soft tofu into small cubes.

2. Bring water to a boil with a pinch of salt, and blanch the tofu for 2 minutes.

3. Add oil to a hot pan, add the sauce and bring to a boil

4. Add tofu and 150g of water (or reach the water mark on the bag), bring to a boil again
